Hi all,

Have any C&W users tired dialing a long distance call to one of the Demon numbers? Does the 50p deal or do you end up getting charged as you would normally? I live in Manchester and tend to dial a local 0161 number on a C&W line to access Demon services. So I was wondering if I dial to the Preston number for Demon could I stay on-line for as long as I want and only get charged 50p??

Have not tired this myself so i'm a bit curious to see if it works.

If anyone has tired and checked their phone bill could you please let me know.

Thanks for any help :)

Afshan

I do not know if Preston would be regarded as a national call, but you may choose to call London for example.

This offer applies only to the end of the year (may well be extended) and does not include the Demon (or any other) 0845 numbers. There has also been extensive discussion in uk.telecom regarding this and the price pledge.

Your theory will as it has been under much discussion, but are you sure Manchester to Preston is long distance - I think it might be "regional" or whatever it's called. You can either 1. Check the rates using the back of your phone book 2. Play safe, and pick something further afield from the list of ROMPs -- Mike Jackson - living Dangerously If I was a cat, I'd be on my 9th life by now

C&W don't appear to have a regional category and for the purpouses of this offer Regional numbers *ARE* acceptable.
